Three-Star guard Shakeel Moore Picks State
The NC State basketball team beat St. Francis 95-64 on Saturday, but that wasnโt the only victory for coach Kevin Keatts on the day.
Six hours after leaving Reynolds Coliseum, Keatts got even more good news when three-star guard Shakeel Moore announced his commitment to the Wolfpack.
He becomes the fourth member of an increasingly more impressive 2020 recruiting class, joining already signed four-star guard Cam Hayes, three-star power forward Nick Farrar and three-star center Ebenezer Dowuona.
Moore, who didnโt take an official visit to State before committing, chose the Wolfpack over a list of schools that included ACC rivals Wake Forest, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.
The 6-foot-1 native of Greensboro averaged 15.1 points per game as a junior for Piedmont Classical High School last year. He averaged 16.8 points, 3.6 assists and 4.6 rebounds in 14 games for Team CP3 on the Nike EYBL Summer Circuit.ย
He is ranked as the No. 7 player in North Carolina by 247Sports.
