NC State's injury situation went from bad to worse on Monday with news that offensive tackle Justin Witt and cornerbacks Chris Ingram and Teshaun Smith will miss the rest of the season.

A team spokesperson confirmed the news late Monday night.

Witt was injured during the Wolfpack's loss at Florida State on Sept. 28 while both Ingram and Smith sent down two games ago against Syracuse. Their loss means that State is now without both of its starting offensive tackles from the start of the season and both of its starting corners.

The Wolfpack is also without two other cornerbacks -- Nick McCloud, who hasn't played since the season opener against East Carolina, and Taiyon Palmer, who is listed as out for the season.

In all, State has lost seven players to season-ending injuries. The others are offensive tackle Tyrone Riley, wide receiver C.J. Riley and tight end Dylan Autenreith.

"There are 11 guys that were on our two-deep when the season started that are done playing right now," Doeren said after Saturday's 45-24 loss at Boston College. "So that's a lot of things chemistry-wise that make it hard whether it's offense or defense."
