A Nebraska legend is returning once again to Lincoln.

Former Husker linebacker and current podcaster Will Compton is coming to Lincoln as part of his “Bussin’ With the Boys” spring tour.

He will be joined by a special guest, it was announced a short while ago. That would be none other than Nebraska football head coach Matt Rhule.

The venue, too, will be special: A theater instead of a bus. That means fans can watch it live instead of waiting for the show to appear online.

Rhule has been working to turn the Nebraska program back into what it needs to be, and Compton is one of many people hoping to see this team take a step forward this year.

Below are some of the details of this event.

  • When: Friday, April 5
  • Where: Rococo Theatre, 140 N 13th St., Lincoln, NE
  • Minimum age: 21
  • Doors open: 7:30 p.m.
  • Show starts: 8:30 p.m.

"Bussin’ With the Boys" is a podcast run by Compton and Taylor Lewan, who were teammates on the NFL's Tennessee Titans.

Lewan is formerly with the Michigan Wolverines and Compton was with the Huskers, so it's not hard to see the disconnect there. Their unique spin and hilarious comedy along with their special guests and sports knowledge have slingshotted them toward the top of the podcasting networks.

This won't be the first time Rhule has been a guest on the show. He talked with Lewan and Compton on the bus in January 2023, two months after he was hired at Nebraska.

Lincoln is set to have a great show Friday with the homecoming of Compton. Many key topics are likely to be covered in this one, but one thing is certain: This will be an entertaining off-season event for any Husker fan.
