The Huskers were within striking distance of Minnesota late in the game Saturday. A key play happened on third and 5 with about a minute and a half to go.

Nebraska quarterback Logan Smothers had what appeared to be a clear path for a first down. Instead, he chose to throw a pass that ended up incomplete.
