Today, May 21st, 2021, is the debut for HuskerMax to become the content provider for the University of Nebraska sports on the Sports Illustrated Network and FanNation.

As the co-founder of HuskerMax along with Joe Hudson I have had the privilege of being a part of the largest single sports team site on the internet with over 150,000 pages of content dating back to 1890 that have been compiled a page at a time since 1995. Our motto is 'Everything you ever wanted to know about the Huskers.'

My personal Husker affiliation started with being born in Nebraska and being a fan since Bob Devaney's first year in 1962. I was born in Tilden, went through grade school in Page, high school in Ainsworth until mid junior year. I graduated high school from Shenandoah, IA and was a junior when Van Brownson was a senior. In 2012 I wrote a book titled '50 Years of Husker Memories'. Hard to believe it will soon be 60 years of memories. My parents bought season tickets when the south end zone was built in 1964 and our family still has the same seats in Section 17.

We have a group of talented writers that will be providing articles about multiple sports and recruiting. I will leave the game previews and reviews up to writers more talented than myself and focus on more historical content and interviews with former players, including some from the 1941 Rose Bowl.

I would like to thank Ross Levinsohn, Mark Pattison and Ben Beachler for giving Joe, the HuskerMax writers and me the opportunity to be the All Huskers hub in the network.

Here is an interview I did with Coach Al Zikmund who scored a touchdown in Nebraska's first-ever bowl game, the 1941 Rose Bowl against Stanford. He was the coach and athletic director at Kearney State from 1955 to 1987. I was a student athletic trainer at Kearney from 1970 to 1973.

GO BIG RED!!
