This year is the 50th anniversary of Nebraska's Johnny Rodgers winning the Heisman trophy in 1972. One of the events to commemorate this milestone is a dinner and watch party for the Nebraska-Purdue game on Oct. 15.

The event will be at Legacy on the Bricks, an event center in Kearney. It includes a steak dinner, open bar and Purdue game watch party. Tickets are available online at this link. Use the term Legacy at checkout for 50% off before the discount is no longer available. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Royal Family Kids.

Here are some comments from Eric and Johnny:

Eric Crouch: "I am so excited to host Johnny Rodgers 50th Anniversary in Kearney, the heartland of Nebraska. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone at Legacy of the Bricks in downtown Kearney."

Johnny Rodgers: "I'm so excited for this 50th Heisman anniversary party being held in my honor. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by so many who appreciate what I gave to the game. When my good friend and Heisman Brother Eric Crouch first told me what he wanted to do to celebrate my 50th anniversary, I was overwhelmed with emotion. This is going to be an amazing event. I am excited to share this day with everyone and will be bringing my Heisman for photos with the fans. It's going to be a PARTY ya'll. Great food, drinks, and a lots of story telling. The more the merrier. Come on down to Legacy on the Bricks in Downtown Kearny on October 15th. Let's cheer our boys on to a win over Purdue!"
