If you're in Nebraska, a chance to meet a Husker coach or two is coming next month.

Husker athletics' Big Red Blitz will return June 16 with Nebraska coaches and staff members visiting 20 cities and towns across Nebraska, the university announced Tuesday.

Athletic director Bill Moos, head football coach Scott Frost and his assistants, and several other Nebraska head coaches will fan out across the state to meet and greet Husker fans.

The Big Red Blitz had its debut in May 2019 (see photos here), but the event was derailed last spring by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Plans call for the Blitz to include 10 groups of coaches and staff each visiting two locations on June 16, a Wednesday. Each group will make its first stop for a mid-day event, followed by a late-afternoon event at its second town. The events are free to the public.

The lineup of towns: Alliance, Broken Bow, Chadron, Columbus, David City, Fremont, Grand Island, Hastings, Holdrege, Imperial, Kearney, Lexington, Loup City, Norfolk, North Platte, Ogallala, Scottsbluff, South Sioux City, Valentine and West Point.

A detailed schedule will be released later.
