The transfer portal is open and movement across the collegiate landscape is heavy.

For Nebraska football, there are plenty of areas of need in both retention as well as acquisition during this offseason. The Huskers went 5-7 in 2023 and missed a seventh consecutive bowl season.

Head coach Matt Rhule has a positive approach to the portal.

"I honestly don’t see any of it as stressful," Rhule told reporters back on Nov. 20. "I 100 percent am in this position to help young people say they had a better life because they played for me, that’s 100 percent why I do it."

Rhule has a couple criteria he looks for when dipping into the portal for any position.

"If we go to the portal, I either want to get someone with multiple years or someone who's an instant impact upgrade," Rhule said on Nov. 29.

Below are are list of players leaving Nebraska—via portal, retirement, or exhausting eligibility—and those set to join the team as transfers.
