Purdue Game Photos

Tailgate and game photos from the Nebraska-Purdue game

My wife Donna and I attended the Purdue game last Saturday. It was the first time I was in Ross-Ade Stadium since 1974 as a graduate student trainer at Indiana. She is a Bloomington native and we met when I was in grad school. We were fortunate to get 40 yard line seats from a member of our bulletin board that lives close to West Lafayette and has season tickets to Purdue. His obvious username on the BBS is inhusker. He also supplied us with a parking pass in their preferred Lot B on the golf course next to the stadium.

The weather was little windy pre-game but died down during the game and it was perfect fall weather for football. We were able to meet up with a couple of members of the HuskerMax bulletin board and made some new friends at a Husker tent with people from my former hometown of Ainsworth. See photo above.

The game was a sellout and there was very little red in the stadium unlike previous times when we took over visiting stadiums like the 2000 game at Notre Dame. In 1974 the Indiana game was not a sellout and the stadium was much smaller.

The Purdue fans were friendly and welcoming and other than the outcome of the game it was a fun experience. Below are a few photos from the tailgate and the game. Looking forward to a better outcome next year when the Huskers return on 11/4/2023.
