Frost: ‘Everything We’ve Got Will Be Poured Into This One’

Coach expects no letdown from Huskers against Minnesota

Coach Scott Frost expects no letdown Saturday from his Huskers at Minnesota after last week's narrow loss to Michigan, and team leadership is one of the reasons.

Speaking after Thursday's practice, Frost called the leadership on the team the best he's had at Nebraska. "All the guys that you'd expect are doing a great job and keeping everyone up."

The game in Minneapolis will be the Huskers' eighth in as many weeks before a week off .

"They go to work the same way every week," Frost said. "They know they basically have three days left and then they get a break, so everything we've got will be poured into this one."

Frost said Minnesota in the last couple of years has "really packed the box and made it really tough on us to run it. So we've got to do a good job coming off the ball and creating things," as well as testing the Gophers' "really sound" defensive secondary.

The Gophers' offense is ground-oriented, so "our defense has got to be ready to do the best they can against the run and make sure not to get hit with anything tricky or new."
