Satterfield Says Huskers Will ‘Be Just Fine’ Despite O-Line Injuries
Suddenly minus three starters on the offensive line, Nebraska offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield isn't bringing out the crying towel.
"I'm good with where we're going up front," Satterfield said after Tuesday morning's practice. "We'll be just fine as long as we stay healthy with who we've got up there right now. We'll continue to be physical. We'll continue to run the football."
Head coach Matt Rhule announced Monday that Turner Corcoran and Ethan Piper had suffered season-ending injuries. Also, Nouredin Nouili will miss Saturday's game against Purdue at the very least.
"We got good young players we're excited about," Satterfield said. "We just had a great practice today. It's a lot of fun to go out and work with these guys. They're hungry. They got opportunity."
Defensive coordinator Tony White and a half-dozen players also spoke with reporters Tuesday. Scroll down for all the coverage, and refresh this page to see the latest updates. Asterisk indicates item may require a subscription. | HuskerMax discussion
