2026 Cornerback Dominic Turnbull Talks Huskers Offer
Dominic Turnbull is a 2026 cornerback prospect from True North Classical Academy High School in Miami, Florida.
He holds many offers including Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Michigan, and he recently picked up an offer from the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
After receiving his Nebraska offer, he spoke with HuskerMax to dive into detail about it.
“Receiving the offer was exciting. It’s always exciting when you receive an offer from a school you literally just watched on TV months before,” Turnbull said. “You kind of envision yourself in that situation in a few years with my last name on the back of their jersey, the cameras, lights and the packed stadium.”
He talked a bit about what stood out to him and what made Nebraska unique.
“Although I have never been to Nebraska, the city of Lincoln is unique in itself, especially coming from a city like Miami. I am sure there is a lot to experience there that Miami doesn’t have. When I think of Nebraska football, I think of the history of the program and all of the great athletes to come out of the university. That’s a program that can compete with anyone in the country.”
“Coach (Evan) Cooper and I started to follow each other on Twitter. I look forward to building a relationship with Coach Cooper and getting to know more about the team, coaches and the entire program.”
“They liked what they saw on my film and were impressed with my size. They told me how unique Lincoln, Nebraska, is and felt I would be a good fit with their program. They asked if I could see myself in red and white. GBR!”
He did go in-depth about his top schools moving forward and how that might play out.
“I am considering all schools right now, I am not a fan of having a top five. I want to feel out the coaches, the city, the school, and the facilities of as many schools as I can before making a final decision. Nebraska is definitely one of the programs I will follow closely. I would love to visit, and I will have a visit set up in the near future. I have a few visits I am setting up for the spring and summer and would love for Nebraska to be one of them. At some point.”
