Edge Defender Jake Kreul Talks Husker Offer
Nebraska recently extended an offer to a talented 2026 four-star prospect.
Jake Kreul is a 2026 edge rushing prospect from Bishop Moore Catholic High School in Orlando, Florida. He measures around 6-foot-3 220-pounds according to ON3.
He ranks as the 11th-best edge in the nation, the 17th-best player in the state of Florida, and the 104th-best player in the nation according to ON3.
He holds offers from many schools and he spoke to HuskerMax following his Nebraska offer.
“When I first got my Nebraska offer it was very exciting and thrilling as it kind of came out of the blue after I had track practice so it was an awesome surprise,” Kruel said.
He talked about what makes Nebraska unique.
“Nebraska is an extremely unique program to me as they were one of the first dominant blue blood schools and have a winning culture.”
“I got to talk to the coaches through my high school Running back coach and then got to get on the phone with their defensive staff and speak a little bit about the program and then at the end of the call they ended up offering me. Right now with me and Nebraska, my main focus is to learn how I would fit in their scheme and build connections with the defensive staff to see how they could develop me throughout 4 years.”
He was asked about his visit plans and if Nebraska was in those plans.
“Yeah, I do plan on visiting sometime I just have not confirmed a date with my family.”
“I would say Nebraska is definitely a contender but I haven’t begun to narrow down any schools as it’s early in the recruiting process and I’m just trying to build connections as of right now before trying to close in on a decision.”
