Gallery: Nebraska vs. Northern Iowa Wrestling
The fourth-ranked Nebraska wrestling team won a close match Saturday against No. 25 Northern Iowa with a pin and four decision victories. After the nine bouts, the team scores were tied at 17, but Nebraska won by criteria, 18-17, with Silas Allred’s pin of UNI's Wyatt Voelker.
The match against UNI was the second of the afternoon for the Huskers, who defeated Wyoming 44-3 in a match that featured the Husker wrestling debut of Nash Hutmacher, a football defensive lineman for Nebraska. Hutmacher (pictured above) elicited a roar from the crowd with his first-period pin of Wyoming's Mason Ding in the heavyweight bout.
