Northwestern Wildcats Score $35 Million for Future Success

The Northwestern Wildcats football team has received some exciting news: for the next three years, they will receive a $35 million gift from the family of Liz and Dick Uihlein.

The Uihleins are very philanthropic and business-driven individuals. The football program appreciates the gestures. Now, it's up to the program how they will invest that money. The program needs to be a winning program sooner rather than later. Northwestern hasn't tasted a Big Ten championship since 1995. Their last conference championship was in 2000.

It's been a lot of years of misery and frustration. There's something about building a new stadium or restructuring the stadium that could put a team in a position where they want to succeed. It's going to be a new season for the Wildcats from a stadium standpoint to coaching to recruits. The Wildcats have players coming to the program such as Owen Fors, Jaden McDuffie, Nicco Marchiol, and many more.

Coach David Braun will have his players prepare for battle. Training camp has been intense. The team is growing and learning day by day. Practice exists for a reason. It's to get this team prepared for intense competition on Saturdays. The Big Ten this season is not going to be easy. Northwestern might play strong offense and defense from start to finish.

Two players that will be very crucial for the Wildcats to succeed this season are Aidan Chiles and Jackson Carsello. Those two guys have tremendous leadership and are very well spoken. Discipline and work ethic can best characterize both players. They know that there are a lot of doubters about this team. They don't care about outside noise.

Chip Kelly is a genius coach, whether people like him or not. Kelly is a hard worker and has been around football for so many years. His addition to this program is massive. We believe that Kelly will be a difference-maker just like he has been at every stop he has made in his football career. Kelly is not for everyone. He always knows what buttons to push to certain players. Northwestern needs a coach like that. It's time for this program to change it around and start building a winning formula.

A lot of changes can happen between now and Week 1. It's every player for themselves. We are going to witness who will start and who will be on the bench. It's an offseason of building blocks for this team. There's good chemistry and harmony with this team. Let's see if it will translate on the football field by the first week of the season.
