Breaking Down Notre Dame Commit Tyson Ford
Notre Dame picked up a significant commitment this week when it landed St. Louis (Mo.) John Burroughs standout defensive end Tyson Ford. The Irish beat out Georgia, Oklahoma and Missouri for the 6-5, 250-pound end.
There is a lot to like about Ford's game. In my first Irish Breakdown Film Breakdown video I talk through a dozen clips of Ford from his junior season, pointing out what makes him such a big-time recruit and also address areas where his game must continue to improve.
Ford is ranked as the nation's No. 64 overall player according to Rivals, No. 148 by ESPN and No. 181 by 247Sports. Ford is ranked as the No. 117 overall player on the 247Sports composite ranking. He is Notre Dame's highest ranked recruit according to Rivals and on the 247Sports composite list.
