What to Know - Notre Dame: Notre Dame is hosting a matchup with both teams ranked in the Associated Press Top 10 for the 37th time in program history. The Fighting Irish are 23-12-1 in those previous game, including an 11-9 mark as the lower-ranked team. It’s the fifth consecutive time Notre Dame and Ohio State have met as top-10 teams. The Fighting Irish boast the No. 26 rushing offense in the nation at 204.5 yards per game, while quarterback Sam Hartman ranks No. 3 in passing efficiency. Hartman has 13 touchdown passes and no interceptions through four games and has helped the Irish lead the nation with 11 plays of 40+ yards after last year’s team had just six such plays in 13 games. The Irish defense boasts the No. 1 pass efficiency mark in the nation. Notre Dame will be wearing special all-green uniforms in the game. 

What to Know – Ohio State: Ryan Day is in his fifth year as Ohio State head coach. His teams are 48-6 overall and 16-1 in true road games (3-1 vs. Top 25 teams). His Buckeyes are 21-4 in all "away" games and 16-4 vs. Top 25 teams. Buckeye quarterback Kyle McCord is making his fifth career start Saturday night. He ranks No. 11 in passing efficiency and has a bevy of talented receivers to throw to like expected NFL first round draft pick Marvin Harrison, Jr. Ohio State’s run defense ranks No. 18, allowing just 87.3 yards per game, while the Buckeye offense ranks just No. 68 averaging 156.3 yards per game against Indiana, Youngstown State and Western Kentucky. Ohio State owns a 5-2 all-time record against Notre Dame. All five wins have come since 1995. The only Irish wins in the series came in 1935 and 1936.
