The Irish Breakdown rankings heading into Week 10 of the college football season

The 2023 college football season has been a wild one, and that continued in week nine. There were Top 10 upsets, near upsets and just wild action all around.

That resulted in another shake up of the IB Top 25. 

IB Top 25 - Week 10

Dropped Out: #21 Duke Blue Devils (lost 23-0 at #15 Louisville), #25 Kentucky Wildcats (lost 33-27 vs Tennessee)

The top five remained the same after all those teams handled business. Texas, Oregon and Alabama all rose above Oklahoma after their loss to Kansas. Although Oklahoma beat Texas head to head, and the two teams have the same record, Texas jumps ahead of the Sooners due to a better overall record.

Notre Dame moved up to No. 10 after its 58-7 win over Pittsburgh, and No. 10 Oregon State losing to Arizona. Louisville made a big jump after earning its second victory over a ranked opponent. Oregon State and Utah both dropped after losses, with Utah getting blown out by Utah.

Oklahoma State jumped into the rankings for the first time this season after blasting Cincinnati by a 45-13 score. It's Oklahoma State's fourth straight win, with the previous three coming over Kansas State, Kansas and West Virginia.

Tennessee also jumped back into the Top 25 after beating No. 25 Kentucky on the road.
