Notre Dame is up in this week’s Associated Press College Football Poll. The Fighting Irish (6-2) were off this week and moved up one spot from No. 15 to No. 14.

The top six spots in this week’s poll remain the same. Georgia Stays No. 1, followed in order by Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State, Washington, and Oklahoma. Georgia was off this week, with the other teams all winning. Georgia has been No. 1 for 19 consecutive weeks, which is the third longest streak of all time.

Penn State fell from No. 7 to 10 after Saturday’s 20-12 loss to Ohio State. Texas, Oregon and Alabama all won, and each moved up a spot to fill out spots 7,8 and 9, respectively.

Two Irish opponents fell after losses this week. Southern Cal fell 34-32 on a last-second field goal to Utah to drop from No. 18 to 24. Duke drops from No. 16 to 20 after losing 38-30 to Florida State. Aside from Ohio State, Louisville is the only other Notre Dame opponent in this week’s top-25. The Cardinals were off this week and moved up three spots to No. 18.

North Carolina took the biggest fall of the week, dropping seven sports from No. 10 to 17 after a 31-27 home upset loss to Virginia for its first loss of the season.

Iowa fell out of this week’s poll after losing to Minnesota. James Madison (7-0) made its debut at No. 25.
