Isaiah Foskey Meets Formally With Seven NFL Teams At 2023 NFL Scouting Combine
During last week’s 2023 NFL Scouting Combine, former Notre Dame defensive end Isaiah Foskey put together a tremendous week of on-field drills, testing and team meetings. Foskey had formal meetings with the Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts and Cleveland Browns.
That is on top of the slew of informal visits that Foskey was a part of during the event. These meetings, both formal and informal, are a massive opportunity for teams to get comfortable with the respective prospect. Time can be limited during the week so it’s very telling for the interest of organizations that schedule formals.
Foskey left the Irish program as the all time leader in quarterback sacks with 26.5. As if that number wasn’t impressive enough, it is important to note that Foskey barely played as a true freshman and was just a part time pass rusher as a sophomore in 2020 (4.5 sacks). In the final two years of his career, Foskey recorded 22 sacks and 26 tackles for loss.
The 6-5, 264-pound pass rusher exceeded his expectations after coming to Notre Dame as a talented recruit who did not rank inside the top 200 by any major recruiting platform. The De La Salle standout developed into one of the best we have seen at the defensive end position in the history of Notre Dame football.
