Notre Dame DE Khalid Kareem is the fourth Irish player to accept a Senior Bowl invitation.

Notre Dame will certainly be well represented at the 2020 Reese's Senior Bowl. Senior defensive end Khalid Kareem is the latest Irish player to accept an invitation. He joins safety Jalen Elliott, cornerback Troy Pride Jr. and wide receiver Chase Claypool.

Kareem has 31 tackles, seven tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks through the first nine games of the 2019 season.

The 6-4, 265-pounder has not quite taken the leap I expected him to take this season, but his game has come on in recent weeks. Kareem registered just five run stops in the first five games of the season, but over the last four games he has racked up nine run stops. Against Duke, his strong all-around performance earned him player of the game honors.

Kareem's pass rushing has improved as a senior, with him registering an 8.6-percent pass rush success rate, compared to just a 5.7-percent success rate as a junior.

With three regular season games remaining in the season, Kareem has registered 94 career tackles, 23 tackles for loss and 12 sacks.

Kareem is ranked as the No. 57 overall player and the No. 9 edge player in the 2021 NFL Draft according to Mike Renner of Pro Football Focus.

The Detroit, Mich. native was named a team captain for Notre Dame as a senior.
