Notre Dame Moves Up To 15th In The Latest AP Poll

Notre Dame moved up to No. 15 in the latest poll from the Associated Press

Notre Dame made a strong impression on the Associated Press voters after a dominant 48-20 win over previously 10th-ranked USC. Notre Dame moved up six spots to No. 15 in the latest AP Poll.

The Irish dropped from 10th to 21st after losing to Louisville a week ago, but they made a big jump back up after thoroughly handling USC in a game the Irish led for over 55 minutes.

Notre Dame began the season 13th in the AP Poll and climbed as high as 9th before falling to Ohio State. The Irish bounced back after falling to 21st last week and earned a much-needed win.

USC fell all the way to 18th after the loss to Notre Dame. The Trojans had feasted on poor competition prior to the Notre Dame game, and getting trounced like that clearly had voters souring on the Trojans, who began the season ranked 6th in the AP Poll.

Four Notre Dame opponents are in this week's Top 25. Ohio State remained at No. 3 after its 41-7 road win over Purdue. Duke rose one spot to No. 16 after its 24-3 win over NC State, which it earned without standout quarterback Riley Leonard. Louisville was upset by Pitt (38-21), and the Cardinals fell down to No. 21 after the loss. Clemson received the second most votes of teams not in the Top 25.

The top four remained the same. Washington State, Kansas, Kentucky and Miami all dropped out of the Top 25. Missouri, Air Force, Tulane and Iowa all jumped into the Top 25.

Here is the latest Top 25 reankings.
