Athletic Virginia linebacker Bodie Kahoun has officially signed with Notre Dame

Notre Dame has officially signed Virginia linebacker Bodie Kahoun. An underrated player, Kahoun is part of a Notre Dame linebacker class that is one of the best in the country.

NOTRE DAME FIT

Kahoun projects as an inside linebacker for Notre Dame. The Irish staff has mostly talked to him about playing the Will position, but I could see him being an active Mike as well, especially as he adds more size and power as he physically matures. As Kahoun improves his technique and his speed starts to shine more, I could see him being an even better fit at Will, and that is something I'll be looking for in the fall.

BREAKING DOWN

Bryan Driskell, Owner: "Kahoun is still just scratching the surface of the player he could be. The 2023 season was his first full season as a linebacker, and he put up some outstanding numbers. Kahoun is a long athlete with an impressive frame, which is why I could see him being an easy 240 pounds in college. The Virginia native has good foot quickness, and as his footwork improves you'll see his change of direction improve as well. Kahoun shows very good open field speed, and he arrives at the football with a lot of force. He's still learning the game of football, but he shows a good feel inside and his block destruction improved as a senior."

Ryan Roberts, Recruiting Director: "After beginning his high school career as a safety, Kahoun has spent the last year and a half as a linebacker for Patrick Henry. He possesses outstanding size and athleticism on the second level, making a ton of plays working in pursuit. As a senior, Kahoun took a massive jump in his first year as a full-time linebacker. He has the tendency to be around the football and make big plays. The sky is the limit for how good he can be."
