IB Nation Sports Talk: Notre Dame Spring Defensive Breakouts - Olivia Miles Out For NCAAs
Notre Dame's spring football practice starts next week and today we complete our draft of breakout candidates for the Irish this spring. We did offensive players earlier this week and we draft two teams of defensive breakouts on today's show.
We also discuss the impact of Thursday's announcement that All-American point guard Olivia Miles will miss Notre Dame's NCAA Tournament with a knee injury that will require surgery. We have sound bites from Irish head coach Niele Ivey.
We have more topics in Rapid Fire. See the full list below.
We start Rapid Fire by discussing whether or not Irish football coach Marcus Freeman should be considered a top 25 college football coach. Other topics include:
* Notre Dame's Vegas over/under for the season is 8.5. Thoughts on that.
* Confidence in Notre Dame women's basketball in this weekend's NCAA Tournament games without Olivia Miles.
* Which men's No. 1 seed will be the first to lose in the NCAA Tournament?
* Notre Dame baseball player Brooks Coetzee was hit by pitch four times in a game this week. We discuss.
* Thoughts on a Japanese pitcher hitting player with a 100 MPH pitch in the World Baseball Classic and then buying him bags of candy.
* ESPN's Dan Orlovsky says he goes a month without washing his shower towel. How about you?
