Defensive Lineman Juju Marks Excited To Experience Notre Dame
There are a slew of talented 2025 recruits set to visit campus today for the “Grill and Chill” recruiting cookout. One of the more intriguing players making the trip is Overland Park (Kan.) St. Thomas Aquinas defensive lineman Julian “Juju” Marks, who does not currently hold an offer from the Irish.
Marks has a great argument as the biggest riser in the 2025 defensive line class. He has been hearing from a ton of impressive programs lately. This off-season has been a big opportunity for Marks.
"Recruiting has honestly just been a blessing so far,” he told Irish Breakdown. "It feels like there’s a new blessing every day. I just received my 21st offer from TCU and couldn’t be happier with the opportunities I’m receiving.”
While there has been some interaction between Marks and the Irish staff, it has been limited up until this point. This will be his first trip to campus, which should be a big indicator for what the next steps in this recruitment could be.
"I’m really looking forward to just meeting the staff and starting a relationship with them,” Marks said. "They’re really interested in me at the moment so I’m excited to get to know them, and experience Notre Dame.
".... I’ve been getting a lot of attention this off-season from a lot of schools,” he continued. “The staff says they really like my film and think I’m very talented. They seem to like what I bring to the table.”
It is early but there is clearly interest from Notre Dame’s side. Marks could be a candidate to receive an offer this off-season. Whether that happens or not, the Kansas standout is excited to just get to know the Notre Dame staff more.
"We’re just starting to build that relationship,” Marks explained. "I’ve been hearing from them a little bit but it’s so limited during the dead period. Getting on campus is definitely a great opportunity to build that relationship a lot faster.”
Marks has been one of the bigger risers on the defensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class. He has been reeling in a long list of impressive offers, including Michigan, USC, Oklahoma, Auburn, Oregon, Tennessee, Ole Miss, TCU, Washington, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas, Louisville, Kansas State, Missouri, UCF, Northwestern and Kansas among others.
The Kansas native is considered a four-star recruit by On3, Rivals and ESPN. On3 currently has him rated the highest, sitting as the No. 170 overall player and No. 16 defensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class. Rivals sees him similarly, ranking as the No. 195 overall player and No. 14 defensive lineman.
