Notre Dame Coaches On The Road: April 27

A look at where the Notre Dame coaches will be headed on the first day of the spring visit period

Notre Dame's coaches are hitting the road tomorrow as they look to finish off the 2024 class and keep building connections with members of the 2025 group. Here's a look at where I expect the coaches to be.

Gerad Parker, Offensive Coordinator - The Notre Dame offensive coordinator will be in the Indianapolis area where he'll see Hamilton (Ind.) Southeastern offensive tackle Styles Prescod. It says a lot that he is the first guy the offensive coordinator is going to see. Prescod is very, very important to Notre Dame's offensive line haul in the 2024 class. Parker will also venture down into Kentucky where he'll visit Park Hills (Ky.) Covington Catholic, which is the alma mater of Michael Mayer and current home of 2024 tight end Willie Rodriguez.

Joe Rudolph, Offensive Line - While Parker is headed to see Prescod, Rudolph is heading to the East Coast to see two more big time offensive linemen in the 2024 class. He'll head to West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial, which is the home of big time offensive tackle Guerby Lambert. This has been an interesting recruitment so far, but one thing is clear, Lambert is a very, very important recruit for Notre Dame in the 2024 class. Lambert is the highest ranked offensive tackle on the board for Notre Dame. Rudolph will also head over to Brookline (Mass.) Dexter to visit Liam Andrews, one of my favorite lineman in the 2024 class. Andrews and Lambert are the two most athletic offensive linemen on the board for Notre Dame, at least in my view.

Chansi Stuckey, Wide Receivers - The Irish wide receivers coach will head down to his home state of Georgia. He'll head over to Warner Robins (Ga.) High School, which is the home of athlete Isiah Canion, who Irish fans need to keep an eye on. He's an elite athlete and a player the Notre Dame staff is pushing very hard for. He'll also head over to Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County, which is the home of 2025 quarterback Antwann Hill Jr.

Deland McCullough, Running Backs - The Irish running backs coach will head down to Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day to visit running back Anthony Carrie. Notre Dame recently made Carrie's final list of six schools, but the Irish have ground to make up compared to his other finalists. Carrie and Texas star Kedren Young are the top two running back targets left on the board, and you can expect the Irish to get out to see Young when they head down to the Lone Star State. This visit with Carrie will be very important as the Irish look to keep putting themselves in a better position with Carrie.

Gino Guidugli, Quarterbacks - Guidugli will head up to Michigan to see a trio of standouts from the state. Of course he'll make his way to Ann Arbor to visit with five-star Notre Dame commit CJ Carr, who is coming off a big Blue-Gold Game visit, where Carr put in a lot of work of his own as a recruiter. We should see the results of that very soon. Guidugli will also head out to see Belleville (Mich.) High School, the home of five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood before heading over to Beverly Hills (Mich.) Groves, the home of talented offensive lineman Avery Gach. They are two of the best players in Michigan in the 2025 class and are both Top 100 caliber players, and Gach is coming off a Blue-Gold Game visit to Notre Dame.

Al Golden, Defensive Coordinator - Golden will head out east, first stopping in Pittsburgh to see Central Catholic linebacker Cole Sullivan. He'll then head down to Maryland where he'll visit North Potomac (Md.) Quince Orchard linebacker Jaylen Harvey and Severn (Md.) Archbishop Spalding linebacker Keyshawn Flowers. The Irish have yet to land a linebacker in the 2024 class, so Golden's travels this week will be important as they look to gain traction with some of the nation's best backers.

Al Washington, Defensive Line - The Irish defensive line coach will also be in Pennsylvania where he will get out to see Philadelphia (Pa.) Monsignor Bonner defensive end Mylachi Williams. This is one of the most talented edge players in the country and he is coming off a visit this past weekend to Notre Dame, where he was in town for the Blue-Gold Game. Williams raved about his visit and this is a chance for Washington to strike while the iron is hot. He'll then head over to New Jersey to see Notre Dame defensive tackle commit Owen Wafle.

Mike Mickens, Cornerbacks - The Irish corners coach will head to Georgia to see a pair of 2025 cornerbacks. Mickens will head to Buford (Ga.) High School, which is the home of Devin Williams. Mickens will also head to Rabun Gap (Ga.) Nacoochee, which is the home of 6-2 cornerback Onis Konanbanny. Notre Dame already has two commits in the 2024 class (Leonard Moore, Karson Hobbs) and is also focusing on trying to flip Kaleb Beasley. The early success has allowed Mickens to get an early head start on the talented 2025 class of corners.

Chris O'Leary, Safeties - The Irish safeties coach will be in North Carolina to visit Fuquay (N.C.) Varina, which is the home of 6-2, 185 pound safety Malcolm Ziglar. With Notre Dame not currently having a safety in the class the staff is working hard to close on players on the board and then expand the board, and Ziglar is an example of expanding the board and looking for more talented players.
