Notre Dame To Host 2025 Quarterback Mikey Gow For Boston College Matchup

Notre Dame has a quarterback on campus in the 2023, 2024 and 2025 classes, one of them is sophomore standout Mikey Gow

With the last big recruiting weekend of the year coming up this weekend, the Notre Dame staff is gearing up to host a bevy of talented recruits on campus for their matchup against Boston College. While it won’t be his first visit to South Bend, 2025 Bellevue (Neb.) East quarterback Mikey Gow is anxious to be on campus again and take everything in.

He has already been developing a very positive relationship with the staff thus far.

"I've had very positive conversations with Notre Dame,” said Gow. "I took a couple visits there last year and absolutely love the university. I also went to camp this summer and everyone knew me from the Ambidextrous Quarterback videos and wanted to see it which is pretty cool.

"I’m most excited to see Notre Dame in person and the catholic events that go on with the university,” he continued. "I'll be sticking around on Sunday to go to mass in the Basilica. Notre Dame is catholic and I’m catholic so it's a perfect fit!”

Gow unfortunately dealt with an injury during his sophomore season but is back healthy and working to get batter. Despite a small sample size, he was able to show off his talent in limited opportunities.

"My season started off really well,” he explained. "In my first game I threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns with an almost 80 completion percentage. It should've been more yards and touchdowns but I had a few drops here and there.

"I got hurt in my second game and was out for the season due to injury, so obviously it was a short season but I made the most I could out of it,” Gow continued.

From the recruiting side of things, the Nebraska native has been creating and maintaining tremendous relationships with several programs. Those relationships are extremely important for Gow.

"Recruiting has been going very well,” he said. "It has been a little difficult due to the injury, but there have still been some schools showing interest.

"I recently went to Michigan and I have a good bond with Coach (Matt) Weiss and some of the other coaches there,” said Gow. "I also have been in contact with Nebraska and Oklahoma State pretty often since last year. Nebraska is my home state school and I made a connection with Coach (Mark) Whipple last year and really love it there.

Oklahoma State has been good to me, good connections with their quarterback coach and a couple others as well,” Gow added. “Those are probably the three main schools I've been in contact with but there’s some others as well.”

The 6-1, 170-pound signal caller is also an outstanding student athlete, which is also tremendously important from the academic side of things. He has made sure to keep up the hard work in the classroom.

"School wise, last year I finished my freshman year with a 3.9 GPA and this year I’ve carried that GPA over and I currently have all A’s and B’s, but there’s always room to improve.”

Seeing Notre Dame again is something Gow is excited about. A game day will be an outstanding opportunity.

"Obviously I'm excited to see the atmosphere and this new coached team!”
