Notre Dame Adds Dynamic PWO Quarterback Anthony Rezac
Something that isn’t talked about enough is how Marcus Freeman and the staff have made a concerted effort to bring in more and more quality players as walk-ones since taking over. Just last recruiting cycle the staff was able to convince players like wide receiver Jordan Faison, safety Luke Talich and tight end Henry Garrity to opt for the Irish despite having other offers on the table.
On Tuesday, Notre Dame made another huge pickup when 2024 Omaha (Neb.) Westside quarterback Anthony Rezac opted for that preferred walk-on opportunity with the Irish despite having offers from Air Force, Harvard, Army and Navy among several others. He is the twin brother of 2024 linebacker commit Teddy Rezac, and teammate of key 2025 linebacker target Christian Jones.
The 6-3, 200-pound signal caller is a big reason why Westside secured their second straight, and third overall state championship this fall. In 13 games, Rezac threw for 2,316 yards and 30 touchdowns, while also rushing for 905 yards and 15 more scores on just 97 carries (9.3 yards per carry). That comes a year after Rezac accounted for 3,357 total yards and 38 touchdowns.
Overall Rezac is an impressive athlete at the quarterback position, having run a verified 4.48 40 yard dash this offseason. He adds much needed depth to a young but extremely talented quarterback room.
