Notre Dame Coaches On The Road - May 1st

The Notre Dame coaches are once again out visiting many of the nation's best prospects in the 2024 and 2025 classes

The Notre Dame coaches are back on the road as they get out to see the nation's best players in the 2024 and 2025 classes. Here's a look at where the Irish coaches are expected today.

Gerad Parker, Offensive Coordinator - The Notre Dame offensive coordinator also still doubles as the tight ends coach, and he's headed to Wisconsin to check on a top 2025 target. Parker will head over to Green Bay (Wis.) Notre Dame De La Baie Academy, which is the home of tight end James Flanigan. Despite him being a Notre Dame legacy the Irish have their work cut out for them if they want to land Flanigan, so it's important to let him know how important he is to the staff. This visit is another example of the staff showing him how important he is.

Chansi Stuckey, Wide Receivers - Coach Stuckey will head out West to visit Long Beach (Calif.) Poly, which is the home of wide receiver Jason Robinson Jr. Notre Dame's wide receiver board in 2024 is now quite small, and Robinson remains on that board. One of the nation's best route runners, Robinson is a player the Irish hold in very high regard.

Gino Guidugli, Quarterbacks - The Irish quarterbacks coach will be down in Florida to check out the schools of a couple of 2025 quarterbacks. He'll head over to Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit, the home of Will Griffin and then head to Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot, the home of Carter Smith.

Deland McCullough, Running Backs - McCullough will head out to Oklahoma to visit Midwest City (Okla.) Carl Albert, the home of 6-2, 225-pound athlete Xavier Robinson. Robinson is a well regarded linebacker and running back in the 2024 class, but obviously Notre Dame sees him as an offensive player. The loss of Logan Diggs means Notre Dame has a greater need for a second back in the class, so don't be surprised to see the board expand a bit until the staff finds a second back.

Joe Rudolph, Offensive Line - Notre Dame's new offensive line coach has a very busy day ahead of him. He'll be out to Belmont, N.C. to visit with Fighting Irish signee Sullivan Absher. He'll also be at Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day to see elite five-star tackle David Sanders Jr. This is clearly the best offensive tackle in the 2025 class, and arguably the best tackle in high school regardless of class. Notre Dame is fighting an uphill battle, so visits like this are important to make sure Sanders knows how much of a priority he is. Rudolph will also be out to Waxhaw (N.C.)

Al Golden, Defensive Coordinator - The Irish defensive coordinator is seeing some very, very important targets this week, or at least headed to their high schools. Golden will be out at Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco, the home of big time linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa. The 6-2, 220-pound star 2024 linebacker is one of the must-gets for the Irish in the class. A must-get in the 2025 class is Noah Mikhail of La Verne (Calif.) Bonia, and Golden will be by his high school as well to make sure the 6-3, 210-pound athlete knows he is coveted by the Irish staff. Golden will also head out to Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, the home of a number of 2025 targets for the Irish, including 2025 linebacker Nasir Wyatt. Golden will also be out to San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) JSerra Catholic, the home of 2025 linebacker Madden Faraimo, another standout player on the 2025 board.

Al Washington, Defensive Line - Washington has a huge visit in front of him as he heads to Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe to see five-star edge Elijah Rushing. The 6-6, 225-pound star end is a player the Notre Dame staff has been high on for a very long time, and getting out to his high school is another step towards continuing to work their way up his list of schools. Rushing has an official visit set for Notre Dame in June.

Chris O'Leary, Safeties - O'Leary will be down in Texas to check out a couple of 2024 safeties that remain on the board. O'Leary will head over to Schertz (Texas) Clemens, the home of talented safety Paul Mencke Jr.. He'll also head over to El Campo (Texas) High School, the home of Oliver Miles III. Both Longhorn State safeties recently visited Notre Dame during the spring.

Mike Mickens, Cornerbacks - Mickens is doing more area recruiting today, which will put him out in Detroit. This is Mickens' second visit to Detroit this year, so it's clearly and area Notre Dame is trying to make a greater priority.

Marty Biagi, Special Teams - Biagi will be out in Hawaii doing area recruiting as well.
