Notre Dame Coaches On The Road - May 15th
Notre Dame coaches are headed back out on the road this week, and they are kicking things off by heading to the schools of some very talented 2025 players. Here is where we expect to see the coaches on Monday.
Gino Guidugli, Quarterbacks - Guidugli has been all over the country in recent weeks scouting the nation's best 2025 quarterbacks. He's even checked in on a few 2026 signal callers. He'll be kicking the week off circling back on some top targets. Notre Dame is very high on a few 2025 passers, and one of those players is Nashville (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy star George MacIntyre. Notre Dame has been trying to get MacIntyre on campus, and the constant visits to his school should make it very clear he's a top target in the class, along with Deuce Knight, KJ Lacey and Bryce Underwood.
Guidugli will also head over Nashville (Tenn.) Christian to check in on 2026 quarterback Jared Curtis. Notre Dame recently offered Curtis as part of a push for its top early 2026 passers.
Deland McCullough, Running Backs - McCullough will be in Virginia checking in on one of the top rushers in the 2025 class. That would be Lynchburg (Va.) Christian star Gideon Davidson. A consensus Top 100 recruit, Davidson already has an offer from Notre Dame and has been a guy the staff has made an early priority in the 2025 class.
Chansi Stuckey, Wide Receivers - The Irish wide receivers coach will be in New Jersey checking in on one of the best wideouts in the 2025 class. That would be Bergen (N.J.) Catholic star Quincy Porter. The 6-3, 190-pound pass catcher received an early offer from Notre Dame and the staff has made him an early priority. Notre Dame currently has former Bergen Catholic quarterback Steve Angeli on campus, and the Irish would love to add Porter at some point as well.
Joe Rudolph, Offensive Line - Rudolph will be out in Las Vegas, where I expect him to head over to Bishop Gorman. Notre Dame has already offered one 2025 standout from Bishop Gorman, and that would be linebacker Landon McComber. There are also a couple of talented offensive linemen in the 2025 class at Bishop Gorman, and I expect Rudolph to make inquiries about both prospects. I'm talking about offensive tackle Douglas Utu and guard SJ Alofaituli.
Al Washington, Defensive Line - The Irish defensive line coach will be checking in on the team's only 2025 commit, and that would be defensive tackle Davion Dixon. Dixon is a 6-2, 300-pound standout interior player at Belen Jesuit Prep in Miami.
Chris O'Leary, Safeties - Rudolph won't be the only coach in Nevada, as I expect O'Leary to also be out in Sin City. The Irish safeties coach will likely head over to Faith Lutheran in Las Vegas, which is the home of rangy safety Matai Tagoa'i. The 6-4, 190-pound safety received an early offer from Notre Dame and appears to be one of the top early secondary prospects on the Notre Dame board.
Marty Biagi, Special Teams - Biagi will be the one coach I expect to be by the school of a 2024 target. Biagi will be in both Colorado and the Seattle area on Monday, and one school we anticipate he'll be is Yelm (Wash.) High School. That is Brayden Platt, who is one of the more intriguing players in the class. He's being recruited as a linebacker, but Platt is also a very talented running back that could be an offensive player in the right system.
Al Golden, Defensive Coordinator - I expect Golden to be in Connecticut at a prospect showcase.
Mike Mickens, Cornerbacks - I expect Mickens to be in Detroit at a prospect showcase.
