Notre Dame Commit Jack Larsen Gets Week Four Kicked Off On Thursday Night

Star 2024 Notre Dame tight end commit Jack Larsen is in action against Providence on Thursday

On Thursday, the Notre Dame commit action will kick off at 7 PM Eastern when standout 2024 tight end Jack Larsen will lead his talented 3-1 Charlotte (N.C.) Catholic squad against Providence (2-1) on the road. Charlotte Catholic is coming off of a decisive 29-0 victory over North Mecklenburg last Friday.

In four games so far this season, Charlotte Catholic has outscored its opponents by a 134-58 scouting margin. That’s an average margin of victory of 33.5 to 14.5 points per game. That is even more impressive when you consider that their lone loss was a 42-7 loss to powerhouse Providence Day a couple of weeks ago.

The Cougar offense is buoyed by Larsen, who has already hauled in five touchdown receptions this season thus far. That is coming off of a dynamic junior campaign for the talented tight end, hauling in 37 receptions for 686 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. If Larsen continues his current trend, he will surpass that touchdown total quickly.

On the other side, Charlotte Catholic will be opposed by a rock solid Providence Panthers team. So far this season, they are off to a 2-1 start after defeating Huss 41-20 last week. In fact that was their second straight victory after kicking off the season with a close 13-10 loss to Ardrey Kell at home. They will be led offensively by sophomore quarterback Jackson Debe who has accounted for 12 touchdowns in those three games.

In last year’s game, Charlotte Catholic defeated Providence 49-14 in decisive fashion. That was the second straight year that the Cougars had come out on top.
