Commitment Preview: Safety Kennedy Urlacher Ready To Make College Decision

Safety Kennedy Urlacher discusses his six final schools in advance of his college commitment

It is a big 2024 recruiting cycle for the safety position, and Notre Dame is still looking for its first commitment at the position. The staff has prioritized Chandler (Ariz.) High School standout Kennedy Urlacher for some time, and the Irish are hoping to make him the first safety in the class.

The Arizona native is set to make his college commitment tonight at 6:00 PM ET. Irish Breakdown will be going live at that time to discuss Urlacher's decisions, and what the decision he makes means for Notre Dame.

Urlacher will decide between Notre Dame, Miami, Penn State, TCU, Kansas State and Illinois.

Notre Dame - "Notre Dame brings a great education. I have built really good relationships with the coaches as well. My family and I had a great time on campus a couple of weeks ago.”

Miami - "I enjoyed the visit a lot to Miami. I really loved the environment of the campus. There is a great energy around the program.”

Penn State - "Penn State is just a really good football school. They develop great players and play really good football.”

TCU - "I enjoyed the visit to TCU. They also play some really good football. It was exciting to see all that they accomplished this past season.”

Kansas State - "I loved the facilities during my visit to Kansas State. The coaches are also great. They have really made me feel like a priority for them.”

Illinois - "Illinois is a really good school. I like the coaches a lot as well. They have been producing some really good defensive backs recently.”
