Notre Dame Continues To Front Run For Underrated Safety Tre' Harrison
One of the more interesting, and underrated safeties in the 2025 recruiting class is Artesia (Calif.) Junipero Serra star Tre’ Harrison. Notre Dame has taken a deep appreciation to Harrison’s game, including the upside he brings to the table.
Harrison is almost guaranteed to really blow up on the recruiting trail after a standout junior season. Luckily for the Irish staff, they are already early on the talented athlete.
"As of right now Notre Dame has shown a lot of love,” Harrison told Irish Breakdown. "They got on me really early. I appreciate them seeing something in me and giving me an opportunity.”
Notre Dame has already created a level of consistency with the California star. They have taken every chance they have had to check in on the talented defensive back.
"Notre Dame, since I got the offer has had an influence on my recruitment process and they opened my eyes a lot more to how I can play on the next level,” Harrison explained. "As of now, since I’m an underclassman just for a little bit longer, I hear from the staff every now and then. They take every chance to reach out when it’s permitted.”
That early relationship has allowed for Harrison to really do their research on Notre Dame. To say they have left a great early impression would be an understatement.
"Notre Dame stands out to me the most because of the high level accomplishments I can achieve with and without football in my career,” he said. "They often put emphasis on competing and developing players which is something I like to value in day to day training in things like that.”
With recruits in a dead period, communication is limited for everyone right now. Harrison is excited for it to be lifted, communication to start up and for a big season to follow.
"Recruiting has been okay as of right now,” Harrison stated. "It’s kind of down a bit because a lot of schools are waiting to watch me play this season. I’m just excited to show out.”
No matter how busy it gets for Harrison, there will be one consistent: Notre Dame. The early groundwork should pay off big time.
So far Notre Dame, Boston College and Colorado State have offered the California native. More promise to follow suit soon.
Harrison finished his sophomore campaign with 23 total tackles. He is also a standout track and field performer for Serra, posting a 10.92 seconds in the 100 meter dash and 22.60 seconds in the 200 meter. Harrison is also a tremendous student, boasting a 4.34 overall GPA.
