From a pure talent perspective, Omaha (Neb.) Westside linebacker Teddy Rezac is one of the most impressive athletes committed to Notre Dame in the 2024 class. Rezac has a good argument as arguably the most anticipated senior season, expecting a massive step forward on the field.

The Nebraska native has put in a lot of work this off-season. After making his commitment to the Irish program on May 12th, Rezac returned to preparation mode. He expects a huge final season.

"The off-season has been really good to me,” Rezac told Irish Breakdown. "It’s been a lot of preparation for the upcoming season. I think my game has gotten much better from a physicality and confidence perspective. I think aggression and attacking will be much improved compared to last season.”

During Rezac’s Westside career, the team has gone 35-2 overall and won two state championships. For a team that only knows how to win, that remains the main goal. Rezac wants to end his career off with a bang.

"I think making it back to Memorial (Stadium) and winning state is the obvious and main goal,” he explained. "Winning is all that matters to me at the end of the day. Individually, making All State would be an honor. It’s something I’m working for.”

After Rezac makes that push for state, there’s one big goal in mind: making an impact on Notre Dame football and being a part of a tremendous 2024 class. It’s a group that Rezac believes could be special.

"I’ve become good friends with plenty of the other 2024 commits,” Rezac said. "There are a lot of great dudes who I'm looking forward to playing with. I think our recruiting class is really special, and could help bring a national title back to Notre Dame.”

Rezac had an expanding offer list heading into the decision. At that point, Rezac had earned offers from Notre Dame, Nebraska, Missouri and Boston College.

The 6-4, 195-pound athlete was a substantial difference maker on both sides of the ball for the 12-1 Westside squad. On defense, Rezac collected 62 total tackles, four tackles for loss, a sack, one forced fumble and two interceptions. On offense, he hauled in 32 receptions for 414 yards and four touchdowns.
