Elite 2026 Quarterback Julian Lewis Gives Insight On Notre Dame Offer

Star Georgia quarterback Julian Lewis goes in depth on Notre Dame offer

Notre Dame has had some tremendous momentum recruiting the quarterback position recently, closing in on Kenny Minchey and CJ Carr during the 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes. They have also already put themselves in nice position with a couple of talented passers in 2025, keeping the figure of the position in a great position.

On Wednesday, Notre Dame extended an offer to 2026 Carrollton (Ga.) High School quarterback Julian “Ju Ju” Lewis. The Georgia native is already considered an elite level talent and the Irish staff has clearly taken notice.

The Notre Dame offer appears to have meant a lot to Lewis. He understands the sell of the Irish program and the reputation they carry.

“I was super thankful for the offer!” Lewis told Irish Breakdown. “God is good. Everybody knows Notre Dame! They’re a great academic school. I know guys who are there right now, so they can let me know a lot about it.

“Recruiting has been going well,” Lewis added. “I’m thankful for all of the schools that have given me an opportunity to play for them. It’s a blessing.”

Lewis has already made a flurry of trips over the last couple of months. There appears to be a lot of schools that he hopes to see over the summer. Notre Dame could be one of them.

“I’m definitely going to get up to South Bend,” he said. “I haven’t had a chance to get up north yet. I’ll be hitting Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State this summer.”

As for Lewis’ recruitment, he is a mature young man who is wise beyond his years. He knows exactly what he is looking for and it’ll be interesting to see if Notre Dame makes their make. They should have the chance to do so.

“I’m really looking for a great school that loves their guys,” Lewis said. “Academics and the support around the players means a lot too. Obviously I want to be coached and developed so that I can have an opportunity to play in the NFL one day.”

Despite only being a freshman, Lewis is hearing from a long list of elite programs. Some of his top offers to date include Notre Dame, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Florida, Texas, USC, Oregon, Penn State, Texas A&M, Florida State, Auburn, Tennessee, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Colorado, Arkansas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Louisville and Georgia Tech among others.

Lewis put together a tremendous first season for Carrollton, being named as the Region’s Offensive Player of the Year after leading the team to the state championship game. In that game, Lewis passed for a state finals record 531 yards in their loss to Mill Creek.

On the season, the 6-1, 175-pound passer threw for 4,118 yards and an outstanding 48 touchdowns. Lewis also completed 65 percent of his passes for the 14-1 team.
