Notre Dame is expected to receiver a number of big time 2025 class visitors in late July, and one of the very top players on the board will be one of those players. I'm referring to Lucedale (Miss.) George County quarterback Deuce Knight, one of the top passers in what is a loaded 2025 quarterback class.

Knight confirmed with Irish Breakdown that he'll be on campus on July 27th. It will be the second time Knight has visited the Notre Dame campus, with his last visit coming in early April.

Notre Dame has offered seven quarterbacks in the 2025 class, but Knight emerged as the program's top target months ago. The 6-5, 185-pound left-handed quarterback has built a strong relationship with position coach Gino Guidugli, and that connection is a big reason why Notre Dame has emerged alongside Tennessee as a top contender for Knight.

Quarterback recruiting had been a problem for Notre Dame for years, but landing Kenny Minchey and CJ Carr in back-to-back classes has helped turn things around. Landing a player like Knight in the 2025 class would signal that Notre Dame's quarterback recruiting fortunes have truly turned the corner. Knight is still a bit on the raw side, but he has loads of talent and potential. He started to flash that big time talent this summer during the 7-on-7 circuit, and he's poised for a big 2023 season.

Knight passed for 1,929 yards and rushed for 488 yards as a sophomore while accounting for 23 touchdowns. He averaged 8.4 yards per carry last season, and while he has impressive running skills, Knight's greatest potential is as a passer. He's a smart young quarterback with a big arm, and as he gains more experience his ability to rip defenses up from the pocket will explode.

The George County star is ranked as the nation's No. 28 overall player and the No. 4 quarterback according to On3. He's ranked as the No. 1 dual threat quarterback in the country according to Rivals.
