Notre Dame In Great Place With Michael Roeske Entering Return Visit Against Ohio State

Notre Dame is expecting a lot of big time recruits to make the trip to campus this weekend for their matchup against Ohio State. It is especially an incredibly talented offensive line group coming to South Bend, including 2025 Wautoma (Wis.) High School offensive tackle Michael Roeske.
This will be Roeske’s first trip to Notre Dame since he camped there early this summer, which resulted in an offer being extended. Overall, the Irish are standing out amongst an expanding group of impressive schools. This weekend will be a great chance for the program to impress on and off the field.
"Recruiting has been going great lately. I’m making the trip down to Notre Dame this weekend and this past weekend being down in Madison was great,” Roeske told Irish Breakdown. "Lately my relationship with Illinois has also been developing really well. My relationship with their offensive line coach, Bart Miller, has been going well lately.
"My relationship with the Notre Dame staff and Coach (Joe) Rudolph has been amazing,” he continued. "It's been a blessing since day one talking with Coach Rudolph and increasing this relationship over time.”
Having already been to campus before, this upcoming trip is more about seeing the gameday environment. The energy around the stadium promises to be incredible, which Roeske is most excited about.
"I'm excited to see Notre Dame play in person and take in the environment of being at a Notre Dame game,” Roeske said. "They have great fans and know there will be a lot of energy.”
Unfortunately Roeske’s season was lost a couple games ago when he tore his meniscus and ACL in his right knee. That has given him a lot of time to focus heavily on recruiting. He’s been doing his homework but is in no rush to make a decision right now.
"As of now, I'm just taking recruiting day by day,” he stated. "Being blessed with the opportunity, I want to make sure I look at all my options and not leave a door closed where I might want to go. Currently I don't have a time frame for when I'm going to commit.”
Obviously timelines can change but for now, this is about Notre Dame continuing to hold momentum with Roeske. Having a stellar showing against the Buckeyes would be a great continuation.
The 6-7, 280-pound offensive lineman has been securing the attention of several notable programs so far. Some of Roeske’s top offers so far include the Fighting Irish, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Syracuse, Kansas and Indiana.
