With CJ Carr already committed in the 2024 recruiting class, Notre Dame already has their eyes set on some extremely gifted 2025 signal callers. The list includes some elite talent, including some that the Irish are in a solid place with very early on. Quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli certainly has an impressive list of quarterbacks to work with in the 2025 class.

Let’s break down the board for Notre Dame. Here are the gifted passers that Irish fans and supporters should have their eyes firmly set on.

Deuce Knight - Lucedale (Miss.) George County

There isn’t a 2025 quarterback that Notre Dame is in a better spot with than Knight, who is expected to make an early summer commitment. Right now, the Irish appear in a great spot but will be battling schools like Tennessee, Ole Miss, TCU and Washington until the end. The 6-5, 185-pound signal caller is one of the more gifted dual threat quarterbacks in the class. Knight is a potentially dynamic football player on the next level.

Bryce Underwood - Belleville (Mich.) HS

The crown jewel of the 2025 class, Underwood is a player that people have known about for some time now. The Michigan native simply checks every box. Size, arm strength, accuracy, athleticism, he has it all. The 6-3, 205-pounder is already being courted by every major program in college football. There appears to be some intrigue about Notre Dame but it doesn’t feel like enough. Getting someone as high of a profile as Underwood a year after getting a commitment from Carr would be extremely difficult.

George MacIntyre - Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy

Yet another five-star caliber signal caller in the class, MacIntyre is an incredibly gifted passer with some easy velocity to all levels of the field. He is the son of former Colorado head coach Mike MacIntyre, and that background shows up with his ability to distribute at a high level. Notre Dame has been out to see MacIntyre multiple times over the last few months and are working diligently to try and get him up to South Bend.

KJ Lacey - Saraland (Ala.) HS

There may not be a more advanced quarterback on the board from a football IQ perspective and consistency than Lacey. The Alabama native has a game that closely resembles former Alabama star Bryce Young, showing the talent to win both in and out of structure. Lacey isn’t the biggest passer on the list so there may be others with slightly higher upside but the kid is a baller. Getting him out of Alabama, and the South in general, is probably very unlikely.

OTHER QUARTERBACKS TO KNOW

Notre Dame has been out recently to see Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County passer Antwann Hill Jr., who has held an offer from the Irish for a while. There may not be a more gifted talent in the class than Hill, who is raw but extremely gifted. Hill is another player who getting him out of the South is very, very unlikely.

Guidugli was all over the country during the most recent on the road period, and there are a number of other quarterbacks that he checked in on, and they are talented players that Notre Dame fans should get to know.

One of the more recent players that Guidugli checked in on was Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic signal caller Blake Hebert. The 6-3, 215-quarterback has a big arm and is a teammate of. current Notre Dame freshman Preston Zinter.

Guidugli was also out to see Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot passer Carter Smith and Edmond (Okla.) Memorial dual-threat quarterback David McComb. Notre Dame is also interested in Murrieta (Calif.) Valley passer Bear Bachmeier.
