JaDon Blair Excited For Full Notre Dame Experience

Elite 2025 North Carolina safety JaDon Blair previews upcoming visit to Notre Dame

There are some outstanding athletes on the safety board that Notre Dame is targeting in the 2025 class, and Winston Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor athlete JaDon Blair is arguably the most athletic player on that list, with an impressive blend of size and athleticism.

Blair is set to make his first visit later this month for the recruiting cookout on July 30th. It is a big opportunity to fully experience the Notre Dame experience.

"I’m most excited to meet all of the coaching staff and to check out some of the facilities,” Blair explained. "I’m hoping to see good practice facilities and how they take care of their players also.”

The North Carolina star heads into the visit with a lot of intrigue about the Irish program. They have a chance to turn that intrigue into legitimate interest, which brings a lot of optimism heading in.

“Right now I know little stuff about Notre Dame but I'm liking it so far,” said Blair. “I’m just looking forward to learning more about them, they seem like a good football program to me and I am just excited to see it.”

A big reason for that early intrigue is due to the Notre Dame staff. They have made Blair already feel like a priority.

"The coach's message to me is that they see me in their system doing well and performing well because they can also visualize me covering a lot of ground and flying around the field,” he said. "They see a lot of Kyle Hamilton in me.

"My relationship with the staff is pretty good but it’s also slow at the same time because there can't be too much contact right now,” Blair continued. "I know it will grow over time because I feel like I will be a top priority for Notre Dame.”

Blair has received a flurry of interest from several notable programs thus far. Some of the top programs who have extended offers so far include the Fighting Irish, Penn State, Miami, Florida State, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Virginia, Duke, West Virginia, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech among several others.

On3 is especially high on the North Carolina star. Blair is rated as the No. 26 overall player and No. 2 safety in the 2025 recruiting class. That ranking also has Blair pegged as the No. 3 player in the state of North Carolina, an area that Notre Dame has made an impact in recently.

The 6-4, 180-pound athlete was a substantial producer from his safety position. He finished his sophomore campaign with 44 total tackles, two tackles for loss, an interception and two pass breakups.

Blair was also used on the offensive side of the football, although that was rare. He completed seven of twelve passing attempts for 70 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, he also carried the ball for 28 yards on four carries.
