Notre Dame extends an offer to 2025 California athlete LaMason Waller III

It was a busy day on Friday for the Notre Dame staff, extending offers to nearly 90 recruits in the 2025 recruiting class for their annual Pot of Gold offer event. The Irish extended another offer on Monday, offering Hesperia (Calif.) Sultana athlete LaMason Waller III.

Waller is considered a four-star recruit by every major recruiting platform. The California native ranks highest on the On3 industry ranking, where he comes in as the No. 68 overall player and No. 7 athlete in the 2025 recruiting class. 247Sports sees Waller as the No. 100 overall recruit and No. 10 athlete in the class.

The 6-2, 170-pound star athlete boasts a very impressive offer list already. Some of the notable programs who have extended offers include the Fighting Irish, Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma, Florida State, Penn State, Texas A&M, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Michigan State, Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Ole Miss, Maryland, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Arizona State, Arizona, Texas Tech, Louisville, Syracuse, Purdue, Boston College, Georgia Tech and Indiana among others.

As a sophomore, Waller was a dynamic weapon for Sultana. He led the team with 1,057 yards and 15 touchdowns on 64 receptions. Waller also rushed 151 yards and two touchdowns on 17 rushes on the ground, on top of being the team’s main kick returner.

Waller was also a contributor on the defensive side of the football. He totaled 36 tackles, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and another forced fumble.
