Notre Dame continues their busy month of May, scouring the country for talented recruits and traveling to a flurry of high schools in order to do so. On Friday, the Irish staff extended an Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis cornerback Mark Zackery IV. The in-state standout has begun to really blow up on the trail including this recent offer.

Zackery is rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports. They have him pegged as the No. 198 overall player and No. 22 cornerback in the 2025 recruiting class on their ranking. The On3 Industry ranking also has him rated as a four-star recruit, currently sitting as the No. 202 overall player and No. 21 cornerback in the class.

The 6-0, 155-pound cover man has been starting to pull in several impressive offers. Some of the notable programs who have extended offers include the Fighting Irish, USC, Penn State, Texas A&M, Iowa, Louisville, Vanderbilt, Purdue, Duke and Indiana among others.

As a sophomore, Zackery collected 18 total tackles and four pass breakups on the defensive side of the football. In limited opportunities on offense, the sophomore hauled in eight receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown.

Mike Mickens has quickly turned the fortunes of the Notre Dame cornerback room since he came to campus. His evaluations have begun to be ones that the Irish fans and supporters trust, especially with him developing the talent first hand.
