Notre Dame Offers Dynamic Tight End Linkon Cure After Amazing Visit

Star Kansas tight end Linkon Cure recaps visit and offer from Notre Dame

It was a massive recruiting weekend for Notre Dame, who defeated USC by a score of 48-20. There were several big time athletes on campus, including 2025 Goodland (Kan.) High School star tight end Linkon Cure.

Coming into the visit, Cure was a big candidate to leave South Bend with a scholarship offer. The ultra talentd pass catcher had been gaining substantial interest on the recruiting trail recently, including collecting 14 offers since the start of the season.

Notre Dame was added to that impressive list this weekend. The news came right before the game began, and was met with a lot of excitement.

“We were on the field before warm ups and Coach (Gerad) Parker came out to talk to us,” Cure told Irish Breakdown. “We had about a ten minute conversation and then he offered me. I was really excited and it meant a lot that he wanted to meet me in person before offering.”

That, of course, was the best moment of the visit. Add that into seeing a great Notre Dame victory, and you have a tremendous introduction to the Irish program.

“The visit was amazing,” Cure said. “The whole process was a lot of fun for me and my family. An overall takeaway would be seeing how great of a program Notre Dame is.

“I got to see Notre Dame and just how great of a place it is,” he continued. “It has good people, school, fans and a great football program. I really like how they do everything.”

Even while concentrating on winning a big game, the Irish staff was instrumental in making all the recruits at home. That was true of Cure, who appreciated them all for making his family feel welcome.

“The coaches and I had great conversations and I loved meeting new people,” he said. “They treated me and my family very well and it meant a lot.”

A fast riser on the recruiting trail, 247Sports ranks Cure as the No. 19 tight end in the 2025 recruiting class. That ranking also has him pegged as the No. 5 player in the state of Kansas.

Cure’s offer list has been steadily increasing over the last couple of months. Some of his top offers to date include Michigan, Florida, Penn State, Texas A&M, Oregon, Tennessee, Auburn, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas State, Missouri, Iowa State, Kansas, Illinois, Purdue and Vanderbilt among others.

In six games as a junior, Cure has been absolutely dominant through the air. He has hauled in 35 receptions for 843 yards and 12 touchdowns so far, averaging an absurd 24.1 yards per reception. Cure also returns kicks and plays defense for the Cowboys.
