Notre Dame Extends Pot Of Gold Offer To Legacy Jerome Bettis Jr.
During the Pot of Gold offer extravaganza, Notre Dame was busy extending offers to some of the most talented 2025 recruits in the nation. The Irish staff extended to a very familiar name on Friday, offering to Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy wide receiver Jerome Bettis Jr., the son of the former Irish great of the same name.
The elder Bettis was a member of the Irish program from 1990-92 before being selected in the first round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams.
Bettis went on to make six Pro Bowls, rush for 13,662 yards and was selected to the National Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
Bettis currently holds offers from the Irish, Arkansas and Boston college among others. The 6-2, 175-pounder was active taking game day visits this past fall. He has been to Georgia Tech and Florida during that season, as well as having visited the Horseshoe for the Ohio State versus Notre Dame game.
The Georgia native offers a lot of raw ability and intrigue. He promises to be a player who attracts a ton more attention from several prominent programs in college football. It is, however, hard to ignore his connection with the Notre Dame program.
