Ohio Linebacker Justin Hill Has Long Standing Interest In Notre Dame

Star 2025 linebacker Justin Hill goes in depth on recent Notre Dame offer

As expected, over 80 standout recruits in the 2025 recruiting class were extended an offer on Friday during the Pot Of Gold offer event for Notre Dame. Among them, Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods standout defender Justin Hill was one of the incredibly gifted recruits that were offered to the linebacker board.

The day was met with excitement, jubilation and intrigue for the Notre Dame program and what each recruit could potentially bring. Hill was overjoyed for this day to come, especially since he had received the news that the offer was coming sometime ago.

“Well I technically got “offered” a while back but today was the day I could post it,” Hill explained. “Coach (Chad) Bowden, Coach (Al) Golden, and (Marcus) Freeman were the ones who offered me.

“I've known that Notre Dame is a great school since I was a kid, and I ended up growing a liking to them as well,” Hill continued. “So knowing that I can attend their school and be a part of that football team is a big deal and I greatly appreciate all the coaches who have recruited me there.”

No matter which recruit you ask, the Pot of Gold has come back with rave reviews. Hill is no different. It was a day he was waiting for anxiously.

“I really liked the Pot of Gold event,” he said. “It is super unique. I was just so eager for the 17th to come so that would be the only reason it was tough to wait.”

Although just a sophomore, Hill is already being courted by several big time programs. He has done his best to get to know all the staffs who have shown interest, including the Irish.

“(My recruitment) has been going great,” Hill stated. “I enjoy speaking to the coaches and I’m super excited to get up there on spring break.”

Hill has continued to pull several notable scholarship offers to his credit so far. Some of the top programs who have offered the Ohio native so far include the Fighting Irish, Michigan, Michigan State, Kentucky, Purdue, Boston College, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Rutgers among others.

The 6-4, 205-pound defender was a key member of a very staunch defense for the Winston Woods Warriors. The team finished with a 12-1 campaign, outscoring opponents by a 519 to 183 clip.

The Ohio standout is also a standout sprinter for the school’s track and field program. So far this season, Hill has posted personal best times of 11.15 in the 100 meter dash and 23.00 in the 200 meter. Both are impressive times for a linebacker of his size and age.
