Notre Dame Showed Brady Hart It Has Everything He Is Looking For
Notre Dame hosted some massive recruiting targets on Wednesday for spring practice, none bigger than 2026 Cocoa (Fla.) High School quarterback Brady Hart. The Florida star was making his first trip to South Bend, and despite that, he came into the visit very high on the Irish program.
Expectations were set very high, and Notre Dame seemed to exceed them all. Hart isn’t bashful for his excitement about Notre Dame. It is a school Hart is very high on, and the Irish continue to make a very strong impression.
“I loved the visit to Notre Dame,” Hart told Irish Breakdown. “The campus was amazing and everyone was super welcoming to us. I love Notre Dame. I love that staff and it's everything I'm looking for.”
The relationships that Hart has been developing with Notre Dame are a big reason things are trending in such a positive direction. The Irish staff had a clear plan for Hart as a player and person, stressing the fit from every vantage point.
"The coaches were all genuine and super easy to get along with,” he explained. "I had a chance to sit in on the quarterback meeting and got one-on-one time as well. I really mesh well with them and their coaching styles. I could see myself playing there without question. The staff really showed me how I could excel, both as a player and as a person. They are a top option for me right now."
Despite the euphoria around the visit, Hart insists that he is still letting the recruiting process play out. Despite that, it’s hard not to feel great about where Notre Dame stands.
"I just want to let the process play out,” Hart stated. "There is no exact timeline but I would like to have a decision made by the season if possible. I’m evaluating everything and when I find the best fit, I’m sure I’ll know.”
Although Hart was clear he will let the process play out, Notre Dame has emerged as the clear team to beat. This visit, on top of the previous efforts by the staff, has put Notre Dame in position to land one of the more talented passers in the 2026 class if they can close the deal moving forward.
Other prominent programs are involved with Hart, who is one of the top rated quarterbacks in the class. Hart has put together an impressive offer list. Some of his top offers so far include the Fighting Irish, Miami (Fla.), Florida, Penn State, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Purdue, UCF, Pitt and Indiana among several others.
The 6-5, 195-pound signal caller was sensational as a sophomore for the Cocoa Tigers. In 15 games, Hart threw for 3,759 yards and 41 touchdowns, while completing 66 percent of his passer. He also rushed for a pair of touchdowns.
