Notre Dame Target Davis Andrews Sets Commitment Date

Standout 2024 safety Davis Andrews sets commitment date for October 2nd

An often forgotten target in the 2024 recruiting class, American Fork (Utah) High School safety Davis Andrews continues to be a player that the Notre Dame staff has valued tremendously. Over the weekend, he visited campus for the second time for their matchup against Ohio State.

According to his father, Rob Andrews, that visit was “Unbelievable. Notre Dame continues to show Davis that he would be a tremendous fit with the program.”

The momentum is riding high coming out of the weekend, so much so that a decision is nearing. Andrews will now make his commitment on October 2nd. Notre Dame is in a tremendous spot coming into that announcement.

Andrews will be selecting from an impressive offer list. Some of the notable programs who have offered the talented defender include the Fighting Irish, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah, Stanford, Arizona, Colorado, Washington State, Northwestern, Cal and BYU among others.

The 6-2, 190-pound athlete was a playmaker on the back end of the defense for American Fork as a junior. In twelve games, he recorded 45 total tackles, intercepted four passes, had three forced fumbles and recovered another.

As a senior, Andrews has been asked to make plays on both sides of the football. On defense, he has recorded 20 total tackles, three tackles for loss, intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble.

On the offensive side of the football, Andrews has hauled in 22 receptions for 420 yards and seven touchdowns. That is an average of 19.1 yards per reception.
