Teddy Rezac Is Ready To Do Everything Possible For Notre Dame

Star 2024 linebacker commit Teddy Rezac previews National Signing Day

Omaha (Neb.) Westside is fresh off of a season to remember. It was their second consecutive state championship, including three in the last four years. The dominance, however, goes well beyond that.

During that 13-0 campaign, the Warriors closest contest was a 31-14 victory over Millard South. In those 13 games, they outscored their opponents by a margin of 598-46, which is an average margin of 46 to 3.5.

A big reason for that dominance is Notre Dame 2024 linebacker signee Teddy Rezac. In 12 games as a senior, the 6-4, 190-pound defender finished second on the team with 70 total tackles. He also intercepted four passes, broke up another 14 and recorded five tackles for loss. Add in two touchdowns as a part time offensive player and you really gain the full scope for how important Rezac was to the Warrior success.

With that season now behind him, Rezac’s are fully on the next step: Getting ready for Notre Dame pledge.

"I’m really grateful to have been given this awesome opportunity,” Rezac told Irish Breakdown. "I’m really excited to officially be a part of the Notre Dame family. I’m just happy to get it out of the way. I feel like this really closes out my chapter as a Westside player, but I can’t wait to wear that gold helmet.”

Over the last few months, Rezac has been enjoying being a high school football player and growing a bond with an incredibly underrated 2024 Irish class. It’s a family already, and a group that Rezac believes will accomplish a lot on the next level.

"I think this class can be really special,” he explained. "There are dudes who can make impacts everywhere and I’m just really excited to be able to go to work with them.”

Set to enroll in the summer, Rezac is also ready to make his impact felt. Whatever role the team asks, he will do. For Rezac is is always about the bottom line, winning football games.

"I just want to find a role somewhere on the team,” said Rezac. "Getting on the field somehow would be awesome, but I really just am gonna do everything possible to help the team.”
