Wide Receiver Jerome Bettis Jr. Heading Back To Notre Dame
Later this month, 2025 Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy wide receiver Jerome Bettis Jr. will be making the trip back to Notre Dame for the recruiting barbecue on July 30th. Bettis confirmed the trip with Irish Breakdown.
South Bend is a very familiar place for Bettis, who is the son of NFL Hall of Fame running back and Notre Dame legend Jerome Bettis. The Irish staff has made sure that Bettis knows that he is not being recruited because of his last name, but for his potential as a football player.
"I’ve said it before but the main thing I love about Notre Dame is their emphasis on recruiting me,” Bettis Jr. told Irish Breakdown in the past. "They recognize that I still have other schools pursuing me and that they still need to recruit me the same way they would anyone else. Them letting me know that they want me for me is something that really stood out to me.”
Bettis currently holds offers from the Irish, Arkansas and Boston college among others. The 6-2, 175-pounder was active taking game day visits this past fall. He has been to Georgia Tech and Florida during that season, as well as having visited the Horseshoe for the Ohio State versus Notre Dame game.
After playing for Westminster School this past season, Bettis made the move to Woodward Academy this off-season. He has been active on the camp and 7-on-7 circuit, showcasing a lot of growth as a player. Bettis is expected to take a massive jump as a junior.
