The Ohio State Buckeyes men's basketball team trails the No. 15 Texas A&M Aggies 34-33 after one half of play in Columbus.

The Buckeyes took an early lead, but a three-and-a-half minute scoring drought late in the period allowed the Aggies to fight back and take the lead before the intermission.

Sophomore guards Bruce Thornton, Roddy Gayle Jr. and fifth-year forward Jamison Battle lead Ohio State in scoring with eight points each through the first 20 minutes of action. On the other side, a majority of the Texas A&M offense has gone through graduate guard Tyrece Radford, whom leads the Aggies with 11 points.

The Buckeyes shot 48% as a team in the first half, burying 14 of their 29 shots from the floor. This conversion rate was good enough to beat the Aggies, whom only swished 39% (12-for-31).

Ohio State found the mark on just four of their 14 attempts from beyond the arc. In fact, the Buckeyes went the last 4:21 of the period without making a three-point bucket.

Texas A&M holds a dominant, 23-15 lead in the rebounding department over Ohio State, having hauled in eight offensive and 15 defensive boards in the inaugural half of action. The Aggies are also besting the Buckeyes at the free-throw line, converting 64% (7-for-11) from the charity stripe compared to the Scarlet and Gray's 20% (1-for-5).

Second-half action between Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas A&M Aggies is set to begin shortly from the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio. Watch the game live on Peacock, or listen to the action on the Ohio State Sports Network from Learfield.
