BREAKING: Ohio State Men's Basketball Unveils 2023-24 Big Ten Schedule
The Ohio State Buckeyes men's basketball team released their 2023-24 Big Ten Conference schedule on Tuesday.
The Buckeyes will host games against the Indiana Hoosiers, Michigan Wolverines and others beginning Sunday, December 3.
The conference schedule begins with a game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers on that aforementioned date: Sunday, December 3. The Buckeyes then head to State College, Pennsylvania for a contest with Penn State before spending almost a month off for Winter Break.
The Scarlet and Gray return to action in The Schottenstein Center with games against Rutgers (1/3), Wisconsin (1/10) and Penn State (1/20) before closing out January with Illinois (1/30). February begins with Indiana (2/6), Maryland (2/10) and Purdue (2/18) before the regular season concludes with Nebraska (2/29) and Michigan (3/3).
There are plenty of road games on the docket for Ohio State as well, starting off with three, consecutive tough games against the Nittany Lions (as previously stated), Hoosiers (1/6) and Wolverines (1/15).
Ohio State had a rough go of things last season, finishing with an overall record of 16-19 between the regular and postseasons. The worst of things was a stretch of 15 games between January 5 and February 23, during which the Buckeyes only won a single game (January 21 against Iowa).
Despite the terrible beginning, Ohio State managed to close out the season with a deep run in the Big Ten Tournament. The Buckeyes completed three straight upsets against Wisconsin (65-57), Iowa (73-69) and Michigan State (68-58) to qualify for the tournament's semifinal game.
